Camping at Trnovačko Lake & Hike to Maglić Peak

Experience one of the most spectacular mountain adventures in the Balkans - a perfect combination of camping by the famous Trnovačko Lake and hiking to Maglić, the highest peak in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Day 1 - Hike to Trnovačko Lake

The tour begins in Foča, where we meet before departing in off-road vehicles towards Sutjeska National Park. After an exciting drive, we arrive at Prijevor (1660 m), one of the most beautiful mountain plateaus in the Balkans. From here, you'll enjoy breathtaking views of Maglić, Volujak, Zelengora, and the surrounding mountain ranges.

From Prijevor, we start an easy hike of approximately 1.5 hours to reach one of Europe's most beautiful mountain lakes - Trnovačko Lake. Famous for its unique heart-shaped outline and crystal-clear turquoise waters, this hidden gem is a true paradise for nature lovers.

While we enjoy the hike, our camping equipment is transported to the lake by horses. Upon arrival, we set up our campsite and tents before preparing dinner together. The evening is reserved for relaxing around the campfire, enjoying the peaceful atmosphere beneath a sky full of stars, and spending the night in the heart of untouched wilderness.

Day 2 - Hike to Maglić

We begin the day with breakfast and freshly brewed coffee on the shore of Trnovačko Lake before setting off for the ascent of Maglić (2386 m), the highest mountain in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The trail leads through spectacular alpine scenery to the summit, where one of the most breathtaking viewpoints in the Balkans awaits. The panoramic view over the heart-shaped Trnovačko Lake and the surrounding mountain ranges is truly unforgettable and represents the highlight of this adventure.

After spending time on the roof of Bosnia and Herzegovina, we return to camp, where a freshly prepared lunch awaits us. The rest of the afternoon is yours to relax, swim in the crystal-clear lake, or simply enjoy the peace and beauty of this unique mountain landscape.

In the evening, we prepare dinner together, gather around the campfire, and enjoy another unforgettable night under the stars.

Day 3 - Return

After breakfast and a final morning by Trnovačko Lake, we pack up the campsite and hike back to Prijevor. There, our off-road vehicles will be waiting to take us back to Foča, bringing an unforgettable mountain adventure to a perfect end.
